Viral Pathogen Sequencing from nasopharyngeal swabs

It has been a challenge to do library preparations from challenging clinical samples as they offer:
– Degraded, low-quality RNA;
– Various sample input;
– Limiting viral copies;
– High host background.

Revelo RNA-Seq from Tecan provides a solution for such samples and deals with detection and pathogen amplifications problems using proprietary amplification technology. Current kit is optimized to accurately identify and characterize viral pathogens from ~500 copies.
